As the tenth annual SLCTA Bingo Scholarship Fundraiser approaches, we are asking for your help.  This event is being held on March 1st and raises scholarship funds to be awarded to local SLCUSD graduating high school seniors who are interested in pursuing a career in education.  Since 2007 we have proudly awarded scholarships to provide financial assistance to encourage the efforts to join our professions.

How can you help…

• Unused gift cards that can be used as door prizes during Bingo (give to your Site Representative)

Doors open at 5:30 PM at the San Luis Obispo Grange No. 639 (formerly the Guild Hall) in San Luis Obispo.  We will have a reverse drawing, silent auction, live auction, free drinks, and free food by ZenDog 805.  After the bingo games have concluded, Emma Maness, a local teacher, will be teaching us a thing or two about dancing.

Please bring either cash, checks or Venmo for purchasing auction items, additional bingo cards, additional reverse drawing tickets and donations.  No credit cards accepted.

What Are They?

WHO is the acronym for We Honor Ours. WHO Awards have traditionally been presented to members of chapters who have demonstrated outstanding service, and/or leadership. Local and State WHO Awards have been presented through the Service Center since 1975.

How Do I Nominate an SLCTA Member?

Select a fellow educator, who is an Association member, for all he or she has done on behalf of your chapter and the profession. Nominations for this year are done through Google Forms.

When Do Events Take Place?

March 28, 2022 Applications due NO LATER THAN 12:00p.m.

April 4, 2022 All applications reviewed by Steering Committee.

April 6, 2022 Notification to Presidents and award recipients will be sent out with all
information regarding dinner, reservations, prices, and due dates.
